Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 5, 2026
Snipfolio is a paper-cut collage maker published by Teasel Bastion. This policy explains what information the app handles, which of it is used for advertising and attribution, and the choices you have. It is written to match the App Privacy details shown on Snipfolio's App Store page; if you notice a difference, tell us at delia@teaselbastion.info and we will correct whichever one is wrong.
1. Your artwork stays on your device
Everything you make in Snipfolio — the sheets you generate, the pieces you edit, your folio of saved compositions, your settings and the posters you export — is stored only on your device. We do not operate a Snipfolio account, cloud sync or upload service, so none of this content is ever transmitted to us or to any of the partners named below. It is not part of any of the data categories listed in sections 3 and 4.
- Save writes a finished poster to your Photos library only when you tap Save, using the standard iOS permission prompt.
- Share hands the poster to the iOS share sheet; what happens next is governed by the app or service you pick there.
- You can remove any saved composition from the folio at any time (Folio → Delete, then confirm). Uninstalling the app deletes all local data.
2. Third-party services in the app
Snipfolio is free and supported by advertising. To show ads and to understand which campaigns bring people to the app, the app includes two third-party software development kits (SDKs). They run inside the app and receive certain device information described below.
- Adjust (attribution and analytics) — Adjust privacy policy.
- AppLovin MAX (ad mediation). MAX requests ads from advertising networks it mediates and passes device information to the network that serves each ad. Networks included in the current version are Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, Chartboost, InMobi, Moloco, BidMachine, Bigo Ads, Digital Turbine (Fyber), Mintegral, Pangle and Unity Ads — AppLovin privacy policy.
At launch the app also fetches a small configuration file from our server. That request carries no personal information and no advertising identifier.
3. Data collected and used to track you
The following categories are collected by the SDKs above, are linked to your device or advertising identity, and may be used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies — for example to measure whether an ad led to an install, or to show you ads based on activity elsewhere. This only happens after you allow tracking (see section 5).
- Device ID — the advertising identifier (IDFA) when permitted, and vendor/device-level identifiers. Used for third-party advertising, our own advertising, analytics and app functionality (ad delivery and fraud prevention).
- Advertising Data — which ads were shown, clicked or watched. Used for third-party advertising, our own advertising, analytics and app functionality.
- Coarse Location — an approximate region derived from your IP address by the ad networks; the app never asks for or reads your device's location. Used for third-party advertising, our own advertising, analytics and app functionality.
- Product Interaction — launches, sessions and in-app events such as exporting a poster. Used for third-party advertising, our own advertising, analytics and app functionality.
- Performance Data — ad load and render timing and similar technical measurements. Used for third-party advertising, our own advertising, analytics and app functionality.
- User ID — a random identifier created by an SDK to recognise this installation. Used for third-party advertising, analytics and app functionality.
- Other Data — device model, operating system version, language, network type and similar technical attributes sent with ad requests. Used for third-party advertising, our own advertising, analytics and app functionality.
4. Data collected but not used to track you
- Crash Data (linked to your device) — crash and error reports from the ad SDKs. Used for analytics, app functionality and by the advertising networks to keep their delivery working.
- Other Diagnostic Data (not linked to you) — technical diagnostics about ad requests. Used for analytics, app functionality and advertising.
- Other Usage Data (not linked to you) — aggregate counts of ad activity. Used for analytics and third-party advertising.
- Customer Support (not linked to you) — the contents of an email you choose to send us, used only to answer you.
We do not collect your name, email address (other than when you write to us), contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, precise location, browsing history or purchase history.
5. App Tracking Transparency
The first time you open Snipfolio, iOS shows the system prompt "Allow Snipfolio to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites?".
- Allow — the advertising identifier is shared with Adjust and the ad networks, ads may be personalised and install attribution works normally.
- Ask App Not to Track — the advertising identifier is withheld. The app works exactly the same and still shows ads, but they are not personalised and the categories in section 3 are not used to track you across other companies' apps.
You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. You can also reset your advertising identifier or limit personalised ads from Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
6. Your choices and rights
- Delete local artwork in the app (Folio → Delete) or by uninstalling; there is no server copy to delete.
- Opt out of Adjust attribution: adjust.com/opt-out.
- Opt out of personalised ads and request deletion of advertising data through the AppLovin privacy policy linked above or through your iOS tracking settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data. Email delia@teaselbastion.info and we will help you exercise them with the relevant partner.
7. Children
Snipfolio is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has used the app and data was collected, contact us and we will work with our partners to delete it.
8. Security and retention
Your artwork is protected by your device's own security. Data received by Adjust and the advertising networks is held under their own policies and retention schedules; we receive only aggregated reports and do not store device-level data ourselves.
9. Changes to this policy
If we add or remove an SDK or change what is collected, we will update this page and the App Privacy details on the App Store at the same time, and change the date at the top.
